Doron Hemo, born in 1978, is the director for North & Latin America and the Middle East at the Foreign Trade Administration at the Ministry of Economy and Industry. The Administration operates over 40 economic missions all over the world. The main objectives of the Administration include trade promotion; trade agreements design attraction of foreign investments and initiation of strategic cooperation between foreign companies and the local business community. Prior to that, Doron was the Head of the Economic and Trade Mission in Taiwan and also served as the representative of Israel's Ministry of Economy in the Philippines. Doron’s responsibilities were to promote bilateral economic relations, to attract and encourage foreign investments in Israel, to foster future joint R&D collaborations with Israeli companies, to encourage Israeli exports and to enhance commercial cooperation with Taiwan and the Philippines.
