Alan is a financial services professional, investor and fintech entrepreneur with over 23 years of experience. He is the co-founder and managing partner of Digital Horizon VC, technology investment firm that focuses on fintech and B2B SaaS sectors, and has backed over 60 companies with notable exits like Monday.com and Lemonade.
He is also the Co-founder and executive chair of Launchbay, a digital investment platform that provides access to technology private company stocks for wealth management firms, private wealth clients, and brokers. Launchbay leverages Alan's expertise in fintech, digital transformation, risk management, and private markets, as well as his global network of partners and co-investors.
Prior to founding Digital Horizon VC and Launchbay, Alan co-founded and exited two fintech businesses, and held senior positions in corporate investment banking and management consulting, working with global firms like PwC, KPMG, Goldman Sachs, and First National Bank. He also serves as a director in several UK fintech firms, and was recognized by FINMA and DNB as a fit and proper director for fully regulated European and Swiss banks.
Alan holds a TRIUM MBA from NYU Stern (USA), LSE (UK), and HSE (France), as well as an Economics and Psychology Bachelor's degree and a postgraduate Corporate Law degree from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa. He is passionate about supporting migrant talent innovation and growth in the fintech and B2B SaaS sectors, and empowering investors and entrepreneurs with the tools and data they need to succeed.
