With over 20 years of experience through leadership positions in management, sales, business development, marketing, and operations, Avichay is deeply rooted into Israel’s vibrant high-tech ecosystem. He is the co-founder and General Partner at lool ventures, an early stage venture capital fund in Israel, focused on Big Data, Computer Vision, Deep learning, SaaS and AI technologies in Israel. Prior to founding lool ventures in 2011, he served as AOL’s Israel Country Manager, following its acquisition of Yedda Inc. in 2007, where he was co-founder and CEO. Prior to Yedda, Avichay co-Founded SmarTeam Corporation, a leading provider of collaborative Product Life Cycle management (PLM) solutions with operations across the US, Europe, Japan, Korea and China, acquired by Dassault Systemes (NASDAQ:DASTY) in 1999. Avichay serves as a board director at Perion  (NASDAQ:PERI), Zooz, Medisafe, Sensibo, MyPermissions, Mabaya, DBMaestro, Tipa, LawGeeks, Talenya and Lightico. Avichay also serves as a board member of “Leaders of the future” An Israeli non-profit association dedicated to creating future leaders, academics and successful, well-rounded, contributing citizens among Ethiopian youth in Israel.
